More About UUM?? Come & Visit Here!!!

   WOW !!! What is this??? Looks interesting??? Definitely YES!! So, now let me tell you what i have discovered around UUM campus. This is known as WELCOME CENTRE or preferably we students call it as "ANJUNG TAMU". It is located at the main entrance of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

  I'm pretty sure you all will be wondering WHAT"S INSIDE?? Wait..Wait...I'll let you all know. :)

"Anjung Tamu" is the latest icon for the guest and visitors to obtain general infromation about UUM.

  Well, this facilities was launched on June 15 2014. "Anjung Tamu' also highlights the image of UUM as a leading Management University thus it  able to increase the effectiveness of promotional and customer relations. 

  In addition, the Welcome Centre will also serve as a benchmark to UUM as the first university to establish a porch beckons visitors to UUM and indirectly helps the development of Kedah in promoting the country's tourism sector.

  Besides all this, our guests and visitors can enjoy a rest room facilities (lounge), exhibition halls, souvenir kiosks, surau (male / female) and public toilets including facilities for persons with disabilities (PWDs), despite offices and meeting rooms .

  Isn't this a WOW?? only our UUM has a "WELCOME CENTRE". Come and have a visit, you will definitely find it interesting.

Shopping & Relaxing time

Hello friends out there, see what's happening at UUM... Its an "IT Fair" that held on opposite Library Sultanah Bahiyah. Guys, you all can buy some electronic tools at here that might can help you all in studies. For example, printers, ink cartridges, cooler pad, USB, pendrive, hardisk and so on. You all can buy this kind of things by using BB1M, therefore you can redeem it by buying this such things. Its on affordable prices of each item that were discounted by the seller. What's waiting for??? come and grab it all before this fair ended. Besides that. we also can have some nice scenery over there by viewing water fountain infront of Canselori. Its look very nice on the evening, the sprinkles of water make us feel comfort to looking towards the human made beauty. This could definitely will be a places for students those who want to release their stress by sitting under the trees.

Sick? Be at peace with it !

Remember, you have to live WITH sickness;

 you do not suffer FROM sickness ! 

Well! It's doesn't matter if you are feeling not well in UUM. PKU(Pusat Kesihatan Universiti) or University's Health Centre is ready provide a lots of services for you. There are many medical facilities include medication for all UUMers, first aid, surgery, dental service and so on. Other than that, there are also many special facilities provided such as computerized hemotology laboratory, imaging and diagnostic laboratory and also pediatric and antenatal clinical services. Smiling everywhere is the staffs' habit and they are always ready to give medical advise. PKU has six full time qualified medical doctors, dentist, farmacist assistants, medical assistants and nurses. Ambulance and emergency unit are provided for any emergency cases. Besides, PKU also offer "Clinic come to the patients". What does it meant by? It's a truck and bring the doctors, nurses and medicine everywhere around UUM. UUM is the first university that provide this kind of service. It is really beneficial for UUMers!

This is what our golf field looks like. You can go there to play golf during your leisure time. Although we always have some thought of only rich people can have the time and afford to have this kind of leisure activity (we usually see it from drama). Although golf was originally restricted to wealthy, but today it is open to anyone who are interested. So, don't miss out the opportunity! Find a beautiful partner, club and you can feel the fresh air in the golf court. Enjoy it!

As long as you keep enjoying the golf, hopefully that you can be able to play very well.

Many people will wonder why our blog's title is discover uum 2016 and not other titles. Is it really we love our university so much or because we are living there? Ya, definitely we can't deny our fond towards uum and it's a fact to say that we stay there and we are going to have a memorable memory there. But the main reason for choosing this title is because of this banner. We want to contribute and become a part of this wonderful and meaningful mission. Therefore, we decided to explore many interesting places which allocated inside uum. Through this blog, we want to express our gratitude and thanksgiving toward our lovely university. Ostriches in UUM

Don't feel too surprised that there is an ostrich farm inside our UUM where we will like to introduce to you all after we discover the horse farm. This is because we are the university in the green forest. That's why you can see many different creatures living in our universities besides the human beings. You can have the opportunity to draw closer to them and see how their habitat looks like as well as their living style. So don't miss out this chance to near the adorable ostriches.

Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.

 

This beautiful lake is held between hostels and the classes area where you can kayak there. Students are encourage to go there with their friends when they are free. It's located exactly behind DPP Sime Darby... You can have a leisure activity there.

We do believe very strongly that kayak is the best way to spare your leisure time. You can enjoy the clean air, beautiful environment without thinking about assignments, exams and everything that make you stress.

The Earth does not belong to us:

Horse Farm UUM

Ya, our university have horse farm !! It's really suprising us when we discover that it has a horse farm inside UUM. You can have the opportunity to ride the horse everyday except Friday and Saturday and you only have to pay RM 5 per hour!! It is really cheap and worthy for you to experience horse riding in this beautiful and awesome environment. Besides, if you interested to learn horse riding you can attend classes which is RM 200. Don't miss out this precious opportunity to come closer to our lovely nature.

Nature Cheaper than Theraphy.

The first place we discover is the beautiful view in Bukit Kachi. Many of us may not reach there before unless your hostel is at there and luckily we have one member is staying at Dpp Sme Bank. That's why we can have the opportunity to explore there.

First of all,

This is the most beautiful picture we captured during the dawn of the day. Every time when we look at this picture, it's some kind like a consolation to all of us especially now when we are having a lot of assignments, quizzes and mid term exams. It's somehow like a magical tool which set us free from our busy lifestyle and granted us a calm and peaceful minds. You really can't imagine how it's feel when we see this amazing view which had been drawn by the hands of nature. We really have a great time enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful view along the road. You will find it amazing if u stand at the same point as us.
